How we pick
The finder uses the same ratings you see on each pallet tag.
- Your area sets the list: we only show grasses grown at the farms that serve it
- Sun and shade come first. Even shade-tolerant grass needs about 3 to 5 hours of sun; for deep shade, think ground cover or beds instead
- Kids, dogs and games favor grasses that recover fast from wear
- Low-care answers favor grasses that need less mowing, fertilizer and water
- Hawaii lawns are grown by our sister farm, Southern Turf Hawaii
