Tifway 419 Bermuda
Tifway 419 is a dark green hybrid Bermuda with excellent wear tolerance. Developed from the Tifton, Georgia turf breeding program it forms a fine-textured, dense turf, that excels in high traffic areas such as sports fields and fairways. It is an extremely durable and drought-tolerant grass that performs best in full sun. Tifway 419 holds its color longer going into the winter months and has a cold tolerance superior to Centipede and St. Augustine.

DROUGHT TOLERANCE
- Daily for first 2 weeks
- Every other day for next 2 weeks
- Once established, can survive on as little as 0.5 inches of water weekly based on soil type
MOWING
- Ideal height: 2-3 inches, very short (as fairway)
- Mow regularly with rotary or reel mower
MAINTENANCE
- 1lb of nitrogen per 1,000 sq. ft. per growing month
SOIL
- Tolerates a wide range
- Best suited to well drained, fertile soils
- Ideal pH range: 5.5 – 7
WEAR TOLERANCE
- Best recuperative rates of all warm season turf grasses
- Vigorous regenerator
