TifTuf™ Certified Bermuda
TifTuf is the newest release from the world-renowned University of Georgia Tifton Campus. It is a superior grass due to its high traffic tolerance, rapid establishment, and cover capability. TifTuf has excellent cold tolerance in comparison to other bermudagrass varieties and exceptional drought and wear tolerance. Fine textured and dense, TifTuf greens up fast and maintains its color well into the fall.
SHADE TOLERANCE
- Good
DROUGHT TOLERANCE
- Soaked through first 2 weeks (3 inches)
- Reduce amount, but water daily (next 2 weeks)
- Watering needs vary based on soil type
- Maintains acceptable quality under drought stress
MOWING
- Ideal height: 0.5 – 2 inches
- Every 4 – 7 days during growing season
- Reel or rotary mower
- Never remove more than 1/3 of blade growth
MAINTENANCE
- 3 – 5lbs of nitrogen per year plus soil test
- 2 – 4 applications at 60-day intervals
SOIL
- Best suited to well drained, fertile soils
- Ideal pH range: 6 – 6.5
