Ideal height: 2.5 – 3.5 inches tall
- Every 10 days during growing season
- Sharp rotary or reel mower
Never remove more than 1/3 of blade growth
Keep blade slightly higher than normal during Winter
MAINTENANCE
Apply pre-emergent herbicide in the Spring to cut down on Summer weeds
For yards with previous insect problems, treat lawn with broad-spectrum insecticide in the Spring
Apply fungicide in the Fall as this will help the grass enter colder months in healthier condition. Also treat with broad-spectrum insecticide in the Fall. If you haven’t had previous issues with Winter weeds, you can forgo herbicide in the Fall.
